The five pillars, articles of faith, and the basics every Muslim should know — explained simply.
Stories of the prophets
Stories of earlier prophets — Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa (peace be upon them) — with their timeless lessons.
The Islamic Studies curriculum
Structured by age and prior knowledge.
Stage 1 — Foundations (ages 5–8)
Short duas, basic manners, simple stories of the prophets, and the five pillars explained at a child's level.
Stage 2 — Building knowledge (ages 9–12)
Seerah in detail, Tafseer of the short surahs, and a wider set of daily duas and adhkar.
Stage 3 — Deeper study (teens)
Tafseer of longer surahs, thematic study of the Qur'an, and discussion of contemporary issues in light of Islamic principles.
Stage 4 — Adult study
Adults can begin at any stage, focusing on Tafseer, seerah or practical Islamic living, depending on their goals.

Islamic Studies — common questions
What is the difference between Tafseer and Islamic Studies?
Tafseer focuses on understanding the Qur'an verse by verse. Islamic Studies is broader: seerah, duas, manners and basics of faith. Almuallim combines both in one course.
Can my child take Tafseer without finishing Tajweed?
Yes. Tafseer focuses on meaning rather than recitation, so it can be studied at any reading level — many students take it alongside Tajweed.
What age is Islamic Studies suitable for?
All ages, with age-appropriate materials. Younger children focus on duas, manners and stories; older students cover seerah and Tafseer in depth.
Do you teach Tafseer in English or Arabic?
Both. Tafseer is taught in English for UK students, with Arabic verses read and explained. Arabic-medium instruction is available on request.
