Terms of Service
The rules and conditions that apply when you book, enrol in, or attend classes with Almuallim Online Quran Academy.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By booking a free trial class, enrolling in a course, or using any service provided by Almuallim Online Quran Academy ("Almuallim", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you are enrolling on behalf of a child under 18, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian, and that you accept these Terms on the student's behalf.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use our services.
2. About Almuallim

3. Definitions
- "Student" — the person attending the classes, whether a child or an adult.
- "Parent" — the parent or legal guardian enrolling a student under 18.
- "Teacher" — a qualified tutor engaged by Almuallim to deliver lessons.
- "Class" — a live, one-to-one online lesson.
- "Trial Class" — the first, free class offered to new students.
- "Enrolment" — the point at which a student begins paid regular classes with us.
4. Eligibility & Enrolment
- Students of all ages are welcome. Most children begin Noorani Qaida from around age 5.
- Enquiries for students under 16 must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
- Enrolment is confirmed once a schedule is agreed and, where applicable, the first payment is received.
- We reserve the right to decline an enrolment if we are unable to meet a student's needs appropriately.
5. Free Trial Class
- Every new student is entitled to one free trial class.
- The trial class is used to assess the student's level, discuss goals, and confirm that the teacher is a good fit.
- There is no obligation to enrol after the trial.
- The trial is limited to one per student.
6. Classes & Scheduling
- All classes are held online, one-to-one, via video call.
- Sessions are scheduled in UK time and confirmed in advance with the parent or student.
- Class length and frequency depend on the plan agreed at enrolment.
- Students are expected to join on time. Lessons cannot be extended for late arrivals.
- Occasional schedule adjustments can be made with reasonable notice (see Section 8).
7. Fees & Payment
- Fees are agreed with you at enrolment and depend on the number of classes per week and the length of each session.
- Payment is due in advance, in line with the agreed billing cycle (weekly or monthly).
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed by our team at enrolment.
- We do not store card details on our website.
- Fees may be adjusted in the future with reasonable advance notice. Any change will not affect classes already paid for.
8. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Classes
By the student or parent
- If you need to reschedule a class, please give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least 12 hours before the scheduled time.
- Classes cancelled with reasonable notice will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
- Classes missed without notice ("no-shows") may be counted as delivered and may not be refundable.
By Almuallim
- If a teacher is unavailable, we will offer a replacement teacher or reschedule the class.
- If we cannot deliver a class and cannot reschedule it, the equivalent amount will be credited or refunded.
Stopping classes
- You may stop classes at any time by notifying us. There are no long-term contracts.
- We ask for reasonable notice (ideally one week) so the teacher can be reassigned.
9. Refund Policy
- Classes not yet delivered that have been paid for in advance are eligible for a refund on request.
- Classes already delivered are non-refundable.
- If you cancel a block of classes mid-cycle, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.
- Refunds are processed within 7–14 working days to the original payment method.
- In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide a suitable teacher for your child, any undelivered fees will be refunded in full.
10. Teacher Assignment & Changes
- Every teacher is assessed for Tajweed accuracy and teaching ability before joining Almuallim.
- We match students with teachers based on level, goals, availability and — where requested — gender preference.
- If the assigned teacher is unavailable long-term, we will offer a suitable replacement.
- You may request a teacher change if the fit isn't right. We will do our best to accommodate this.
11. Student & Parent Responsibilities
- Provide a quiet, safe space for the class, with minimal distraction.
- Ensure the student joins on time with the required materials (Qaida, Mushaf, notebook).
- Encourage regular home practice — typically 15–30 minutes daily — as advised by the teacher.
- Communicate promptly if the student is unwell, unable to attend, or has any special learning needs.
- Keep contact details up to date so we can reach you about scheduling.
12. Code of Conduct
To keep classes beneficial and respectful for everyone, we ask that:
- Students treat teachers with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Parents do not interrupt lessons unless necessary.
- No abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour is tolerated — towards teachers, staff, or other students.
- Teachers maintain a professional, respectful and encouraging environment.
- Any concern about a teacher's conduct should be reported to us immediately at info@almuallim.uk.
We reserve the right to suspend or end classes if this Code of Conduct is repeatedly breached.
13. Technology Requirements
- Classes are delivered via video call. You will need a phone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone.
- A stable internet connection is essential.
- No special software or equipment is required — we will confirm the platform before your first class.
- If technical issues on your side cause a class to be cut short, we will try to reschedule. If issues are on our side, we will always reschedule or credit the class.
14. Class Recordings
- Classes are not recorded by default.
- If a recording is ever requested by a parent (for revision purposes), it will only be made with the mutual consent of both the teacher and the parent.
- Students and parents may not record classes without the teacher's prior consent.
- Any recordings shared by us are for personal revision only and must not be published or redistributed.
15. Intellectual Property
- All lesson plans, teaching materials, and content created by Almuallim remain our intellectual property (or that of our teachers).
- You may use these materials for your own (or your child's) personal learning only.
- Materials may not be copied, resold, or shared with third parties without our written permission.
16. Privacy & Data Protection
Your personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, why, and how long we keep it. By using our services, you confirm that you have read and understood that policy.
- We only collect the data needed to arrange and deliver lessons.
- Enquiry data is kept for the short period needed to match a student with a teacher, and is then securely deleted.
- We never sell your personal information.
17. Limitation of Liability
- Almuallim provides educational services in good faith. We cannot guarantee a specific rate of progress, as learning outcomes depend on the student's effort, attendance and home practice.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount paid by you for the classes concerned.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for issues caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (such as internet outages on the student's side).
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
18. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or end classes if:
- Fees remain unpaid after reasonable reminders.
- The Code of Conduct is repeatedly breached.
- We reasonably believe that continuing classes would not be in the student's best interest.
Where classes are ended by us for reasons other than breach, any undelivered fees will be refunded.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
If we make a significant change that affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you by email (where we hold your contact details) before the change takes effect.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
21. Contact Us
If you have any questions about these Terms, please get in touch — we are always happy to clarify anything.
